2020 has been the year of cakes disguised as other things. Perhaps you've seen the viral videos of people cutting into stacks of books, puppies, bags of chips and more just to reveal the entire thing was artful ice on the outside and fluffy cake on the exclusive.
One of the latest TikTok trends takes this trend in a different direction. Prepare to have your mind blown by steak cake! No, this ISN't a bar that's made to look like steak. IT's actually made with steak and topped with mashed potatoes!
How Is a Steak Cake Made?
TikTok exploiter @MaxtheMeatGuy recently showed viewers his steak cake formula, which as you might guess involves double quantities of meat. He uses layers of ribeye, strip steak and sirloin for the illegitimate, past uses creamy mashed potatoes for the frosting in between layers and the surface, so the entire thing almost resembles a wedding cake. The final touch involves making decorative roses out of Baron Verulam that's been rolled up and barbecued. He also adds a a few sprigs of strike for garnish.
